Report FICC Jury at 25ª MIDBO (Muestra Internacional Documental de Bogotá

Por medio de la presente se describirán los procesos llevados por los tres jurados y se dará la recomendación de ganador del Premio Quijote del cineclubismo internacional de la Federación Internacional de Cineclubes (FICC) en esta, su primera versión en Colombia, siendo una sección oficial de la Muestra Internacional Documental de Bogotá (MIDBO), en su edición 25 que tuvo como lema o slogan “Recrear lo real”. Esta versión fue mediada y coordinada por Cineclub Imagen Viajera.
En primera medida, se debe subrayar que esta  Muestra,  de carácter internacional, demuestra trayectoria, orden y un trabajo digno, responsable y muy profesional por parte de la Corporación Colombiana de Documentalistas Alados Colombia, de este modo, se creó un ambiente muy hospitalario en el festival.
Es relevante destacar el buen nivel que presentan las propuestas visualizadas por los jurados, donde se demuestra un alto desarrollo estilístico, técnico y narrativo de dichas propuestas y donde es importante mencionar la evolución y el alto nivel que tienen las producciones locales con un interesante progreso alrededor del archivo nacional; así mismo, destacan las intenciones narrativas donde en su mayoría, se mostraron historias concisas, bien narradas y de gran valor para la memoria; la excelente selección, organizada por ejes temáticos, proporcionó una visión profunda de los discursos actuales de la sociedad colombiana y del panorama el documental a nivel internacional. De igual manera, las propuestas de cortometrajes internacionales mostraron un alto nivel técnico y estético.
Por esto, los jurados recomiendan y entregan el Premio Quijote al cortometraje Los órganos internos de la madre tierra de Ana Bravo Pérez por la forma en la que se trata un tema que no solo afecta a Colombia sino a todo el planeta; su estructura combina estilos narrativos diversos para construir una metáfora que sensibiliza sobre una problemática ambiental de interés global. El jurado decide también entregar una mención de honor a Nalda de Santiago Ramírez por su inmersivo cortometraje, dónde su belleza visual nos introduce de manera directa en la cotidianidad de la selva colombiana.

     The processes carried out by the three juries will hereby be described and the recommendation of the winner of the Quijote Prize for international film club from the International Federation of Film Societies (FICC) will be given in this, its first version in Colombia, being an official section of the International Documentary Exhibition of Bogotá (MIDBO), in its 25th edition, which had as its motto or slogan “Recreate the real”. This version was mediated and coordinated by Imagen Viajera film society.
First of all, it should be emphasized that this International Exhibition demonstrates track record, order and dignified, responsible and very professional work on the part of the Colombian Corporation of Documentalists Alados Colombia, thus creating a very hospitable environment in the festival.
It is relevant to highlight the good level presented by the proposals visualized by the juries, where a high stylistic, technical and narrative development of said proposals is demonstrated and where it is important to mention the evolution and high level of local productions with interesting progress around from the national archive; Likewise, the narrative intentions stand out where, for the most part, concise stories were shown, well narrated and of great value for memory; The excellent selection, organized by thematic axes, provided a deep vision of the current discourses of Colombian society and the international documentary scene. Likewise, the international short film proposals showed a high technical and aesthetic level.
For this reason, the jurors recommend and award the Quijote Prize to the short film The Internal Organs of Mother Earth by Ana Bravo Pérez for the way in which it deals with a topic that not only affects Colombia but the entire planet; Its structure combines diverse narrative styles to build a metaphor that raises awareness about an environmental problem of global interest. The jury also decides to give an honorable mention to Nalda by Santiago Ramírez for her immersive short film, where its visual beauty introduces us directly to the daily life of the Colombian jungle.
