Informative plattform of International Federation of Film Societies- Féderation Internationalle des Ciné-clubs- Federación Internacional de Cine Clubes
It was my pleasure of being a part of FICC jury on the 27th Minimalen Short Film Festival, 2015, Trondheim, Norway and want to thank Mr. Per Fikse, Festival Director, Colleagues from IFFS and FFSI for selecting me as one of the jury member of FICC.
It was enriching experience for me to interact with other FICC jury members, Ms. Agnieszka Zajac from Poland and Ms. Renate Kroken from Norway. As member of the festival jury I was very warmly welcomed and through Six days have seen 27 films from International Panorama I, II, III & IV. After viewing all the films we the jury members met on 25th April at 10.30 PM and discussed about each film in detail for the final selection of FICC, The Don Quixote Award. The jury would like to give a special mention to two short films. Firstly from Belgium/France the 2013 Documentary Fiction Film LA PART DE L’OMBRE, directed by Olivier Smolders. An amazing story about an extraordinary artist, who was forgotten for years. Secondly, the jury very much appreciated the 2013 Animation Film from Slovenia/Germany BOLES, directed by Spela Cadez, and animated story that come to life through the incredible details of the characters.
And finally the jury has chosen the Romanian 2014 Fiction Film IT CAN PASS THROUGH THE WALL, directed by Radu Jude, as the winner of the Don Quixote award in the 27th Minimalen Short Film Festival 2015, Trondheim Norway. The jury chose this film because it utilizes, in great extent, the atmosphere of a confined space by the use of sound and the interaction between the main characters.
All the three jury members have signed the citation & the copy was handed over to Festival Director, I would once again like to thank all my friends and colleagues.
