FICC JURY GALWAY FILM FLEADH: AWARD DECISION 2014

DEADLY_The International Federation of Film Societies Jury has awarded the Don Quijote Prize at the Galway Film Fleadh 2014 in the category of Irish Short Animation Film to :

DEADLY
Director: Aidan McAteer
Producer: Shannon George
Synopsis
Deadly tells the story of Boney, a working stiff who doesn’t care about his dead-end job. That is until, he has a run-in with a spirited old lady named Bridie….
The jury also gave a special mention to:
SHOOT
Director : Rory Conroy
Producer: Ballyfermot College of Further Education
Synopsis
An assassination attempt gone wrong.
FICC Jury Statement
The FICC jury awarded the Don Quijote prize to DEADLY
The jury connected immediately with this touching and engaging short animation. A well developed storyline with a unique design of characters made this a standout choice. A story of friendship, emotion and respect that was delightfully delivered with spectacular animation
Special mention was also awarded to SHOOT
The FICC jury was made up of Ms. Finola Costello (Ireland), Ms. Felicia Matheson (Northern Ireland) and Ms. Suzanne Motler (Germany).
